Keira Knightley At Our Wedding Show?

A few weeks ago, Keira Knightley told Ellen DeGeneres that she thinks wedding planning is confusing. We know a lot of brides to be can get overwhelmed, which is why it can be helpful to go to a bridal show.

If you can’t wait until our next event, which will be held on January 27th at the Italian Center of Stamford, you can also check out all the great vendors on our site. We can help you find everything you need for your special day, from venues to vehicles, and dance lessons to decorations.

Though we aren’t sure where Keira Knightley and her fiancé, Klaxons keyboardist James Righton, the couple have been in New York recently. If they’re considering Connecticut as a potential wedding location, we’d be happy to help make the planning less confusing.

We’ve got plenty of places that are perfect for a dream wedding, and all of our vendors can help make the day unforgettable.  Click here for a list of wedding professionals.

2013 Top Wedding Predictions

With 2012 coming to an end, it’s time to start looking forward to some of the big trends for 2013.

Here are a couple of our favorite upcoming trends.

  • Vintage and lace: These trends are the ultimate in retro glamor — think 1940s movie stars and delicate details. This trend has been growing for the past few years, and there’s no sign of it stopping for 2013.

  • Colors and patterns: It might not be everyone’s taste, but colorful wedding gowns are a big trend. Pale pink and mint are the top two colors for brides, and their pastel tones are a nice alternative to white and ivory. Patterns are another way of injecting color, either in bridesmaids’ dresses or as a sash on a bride’s gown.

  • DIY inspiration: This is all about looking homemade, but not necessarily being homemade. It’s a rustic and relaxed style that plays with textures and colors. These touches are going beyond crafty brides, and are becoming more available to purchase, making it perfect for anyone.

How to Pull Off the Perfect Wedding Ceremony

We’ve been to plenty of weddings and have noticed that no two ceremonies are exactly alike. This makes perfect sense because no two couples are exactly alike.

While couples used to use a standard set of vows, today’s couples generally write their own. This is a great way to personalize your wedding while showing your friends and family how much you love each other.

It’s also becoming more common to mix many traditions together. Even within religious weddings, couples are able to add in extra traditions, such as a unity candle. Couples that come from different backgrounds can use multiple traditions to demonstrate the way their families are being joined together.

Choosing a venue for your ceremony can influence many of your choices, too. Whatever type of ceremony you’re planning, our vendors can help you.  Click here for upcoming wedding shows.
